Properly drying a flooded home is vital to retaining its property value, and can eliminate the need for additional repairs in the future.
When flood-damaged homes are not completely dried -- and when walls are closed up before having a chance to completely dry out, it can lead to extremely expensive mold damage to the home.
Mold, rot, and other water-related damages can lead to serious long-term health effects, and the eventual costs can easily total $100,000 or more.
We serve Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Pompano Beach, and many nearby areas, including Tampa, West Palm Beach, St. Petersburg, Naples, Hollywood, Miami Beach, Vero Beach, and other parts of Florida.
A great deal of flood damage occurs along with fire damage. As fire hoses extinguish the fire in your home, they pump out an estimated 1,000 gallons of water or more every minute!
The key to restoring value to your fire-damaged home is to begin the water removal process within 48 hours.

Your staff, especially Manny were very professional. Manny came in and thoroughly explained the procedures and made us feel comfortable and positive about the outcome. this was very reassuring during a time of stress. We felt that our situation was in good hands. He also made sure that we were alerted on time before they came out. We came out of this with a very positive experience. Good work team!

On 11/8/15, 7:30pm, flood waters entered through the front, back, then sides of my one story slab built town home. Within minutes the water was 4" deep inside and 18" deep outside. Through my glass front door I could see cars, furniture, garbage cans and shrubs hurtling down the street on a rising tide of fast moving flood water. While the water was still rising around my ankles, I Googled "flood remediation and restoration, Florida " and Baxter Restoration was first on the list. Did some quick research, and left a message on the Baxter web site. Minutes later I got a call from Jose Perez, and explained the situation. The next morning, 11/9/15, Jose was at my front door.About 50 homes on my street were flooded. Most sedan or smaller sized cars were totaled. Soon the street was bumper to bumper with disaster vehicles and tow trucks, as well as TV satellite trucks and police cars.Throughout the remediation process Baxter was first on the scene. Often Baxter's crew stayed late into the night to complete each phase. Other crews kept to a 9-5 schedule. Work on #597 Aquatic days before any of the neighboring houses...some are still having wallboard removed...more than 2 weeks after the event. The crew was headed by Jaun, a competent, conscientious and meticulous professional. You have a jewel in this man.Working with Baxter Restoration during this most overwhelming and stressful time has brought order to my chaotic world. Thank you.

I was very impressed with the work that was done in the home. Torr Gilyard and his team were a joy to work with, and the place looks great. The only difficulty was in scheduling and getting the work done on schedule. We had to take a few extra days off from work to ensure that everything was completed in a timely fashion. That said, I found the workers professional and courteous. They clearly know their jobs well, as we are quite pleased with the work. We would be happy to recommend them to others...

Sudden heavy rainfalls can hit an area hard, sometimes leading to unexpected flooding throughout an entire neighborhood.
Widespread flooding can bring with it severe water damage to home and property. Additionally, these floodwaters can often contain bacteria from sewage or other unhealthy chemicals. Cleanup should be conducted right away.
Plumbing failures can be caused by frozen pipes, as well as failing washing machine hoses, leaking water heaters, corroded/rusted pipes, and many other problems.
Plumbing leaks can lead to damage high in the home, damage wall cracks, and flood behind drywall. In the case of sewer line failure, they can also create a potentially unhealthy condition in the home.
Even during normal rainfall conditions, where flooding is not a threat, groundwater can find its way into a basement or crawl space.
When this happens, a homeowner can find themselves plagued by routine flooding conditions on their below-grade space. Finished basements can be ruined, crawl spaces can rot, and mold spores and odors can permeate the home.
Small water intrusions and minor plumbing leaks can be easy to overlook or ignore, and over time they can lead to major problems with mold and rot. Wall cavities, cupboards, closets, and attics are especially susceptible to damage from mold, rot, and water damage.
Additionally, vented crawl spaces and basements can allow humidity in, leading to moisture problems, mold, and rot.
